On April 9th, the European Commission issued new regulations, announced the phasing out of the state subsidies on solar, wind, biomass and other renewable energy industry, and the new regulation formally entered into force on July 1st. Since 2017, all EU Member States will be forced to limit subsidies for renewable energy industry. Some environmental groups are concerned that Europe will slow the pace of clean energy.
