On 12th November, China and the United States announced the “Joint U.S.-China Statement

on Climate Change ” in APEC leaders informal meeting in Beijing, jointly committed on carbon

emissions reduction, which is regarded as one of the greatest achievements of the meeting.

The United States had also adopted a series of emission reduction measures of the new

emissions regulations announcement of the coal-fired power plants and the introduction of

new fuel and motor vehicle standards.
